Joining the Ann Arbor Velo Club

The Ann Arbor Velo Club, Inc. (AAVC) has been a part of the cycling scene in Southeast Michigan since the 70's. Over that time it has had many different race teams develop, grow, and transition, but has focused primarily on supporting riders new to the sport. To become a member or renew - simply add this item to your cart, fill out the online form, and checkout! Or if you'd rather do things the old fashioned way download the membership form (PDF) and mail it in as noted.  We ask that families and parents/guardians of a minor continue to fill out and mail in a paper copy for our records.

There are no requirements for membership in the AAVC other than an interest in cycling. The AAVC is a member club of USA Cycling, and while the team is structured around road racing, we are a cross-discipline club with a keen interest in cyclo-cross and mountain bike racing as well. While many members hold a racing license issued by USA Cycling and race on a regular basis, we also have members whose major interest is simply riding bikes. And that's OK! Racing is not a requirement and we work especially hard to encourage new riders who have an interest in learning about cycling in a safe and organized manner.

AAVC + WBWC Joint Membership

We're pleased to announce a joint membership option with the Washtenaw Biking and Walking Coalition for an additional $10!   Note that this is only available as an add-on to your existing AAVC Club Membership.

WBWC Mission:

We promote transportation options for a sustainable and livable community. Our mission is to make Washtenaw County a national leader in bicycling and walking by improving facilities, policies, and community support through advocacy and education.
